I had a really bad few days the other week; a couple of people at my office got made redundant, I lost my mobile phone and all the numbers in it and I was having an absolute nightmare trying to find a decent quote for horse insurance. Their movies were so perfect because they were all set in reality, but with an element of fantasy and imagination that takes your breath away the first time you see them and every time after that.
So, last week when I was having my major sulk and my boyfriend couldn’t do a thing right, I gave him a wee hint as to how he could help in cheering me and up and gain a few brownie points – sure enough, he returned from a trip to the supermarket with a copy of the 1938 classic ’Carefree'and suddenly everything was all sweetness and light again!
